"Refusal" to vaccinate

Hilary Butler - Saturday, July 24, 2010

While the medical profession has finally caught on, that the more "educated" a parent makes themselves on the issues around vaccination, the more likely they are to chose not to vaccinate, they are utterly offended that people can chose not to vaccinate.  Furthermore, their take on the issue of "choice" is off the wall.  Their solution to parents not making the 'right' choice, is to back parents into the wall and take pot shots at them with "Refusal to vaccinate" letters (see bottom), which read like legal documents, but are not.  These "refusal to vaccinate" letters come out of such skewed thinking patterns as can be seen in this statement in May this year, from the biggest vaccine defender of them all, Dr Paul Offit: Read Full Blog

"On-time Vaccine Receipt in the First Year Does Not Adversely Affect Neuropsychological Outcomes".

Hilary Butler - Monday, May 24, 2010

Today, Pediatrics published a retrospective study with the above title, which purportedly provides the "strongest clinical evidence to date that on-time..." and that these results offer reassuring information" etc etc... I received an alert, and downloaded the study. And started reading. Most of the tables you can't make much of, since they simply tell you end-points and you have no way of knowing whether those end points are even accurate or not. I burst out laughing in the first paragraph of the results though when I read this: "A total of 491 (47%) of 1047 children met the study definition for timely receipt. An additional 235 (23%) received all recommended vaccines during the study period but not on time. The remaining 311 (20%) did not receive all recommended vaccines during the study period." Read Full Blog

Professor Peter Collignon disturbed at lack of influenza data

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, April 28, 2010

This morning, on Nine to Noon, Kathryn Ryan listened while Professor Peter Collignon carefully detailed his concerns about the lack of data on flu vaccine side effects; the short comings of the current reporting systems world wide; the inadequate reasoning behind the use of the H1N1 vaccine. Everything Professor Collignon stated this morning, underlines everything I said to the Health Select Committee on vaccination rates, on April 15th, 2010.  So let's see how my suggestions to expand the use of the National Immunisation Register to include other health data might pan out in the current situation of serious Fluvax reactions in Australasian children. Read Full Blog

When Gardasil doesn't work, it works.

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Of course Gardasil works in Australia. At least, it might when they’ve used it for long enough. But we won’t see that for many years down the line, because most the girls who have received the vaccine, were probably already having sex, and therefore will have picked up HPV types. By the way, you’re not supposed to know that HPV 16 and 18 can be got by a baby from it’s mother, and child to child, … and that it’s regularly found in tonsils removed from children, etc, etc, etc…. Merck needs to at least exceed the 7 year patent limit time before anyone admits to any “mere anomalies”. The Gardasil golden goose must continue to lay, you know.  Read Full Blog

An enlightened April Fool

Hilary Butler - Thursday, April 01, 2010

April 1, 2010, 10.30.a.m. Atlanta GA, USA. At a press conference held at Capitol Hill today, CDC spokesthing, I. M. A. Robot handed out a press release taking responsibility for deaths and huge numbers of autoimmunity from the Gardasil vaccine, as well as the epidemic of autism, and for covering up brain damage in children, and adults from aluminium, thiomersal and other vaccine ingredients. Read Full Blog

On the matter of the Lancet retraction

Hilary Butler - Monday, February 01, 2010

The Lancet has retracted the 1998 paper (1). Now, all the pillorying and slandering of Andrew Wakefield will start in earnest. The question is, "How does Richard Horton manage to go to sleep each night?". And here's why.  In 2004, the Lancet "partially" retracted the paper, on the basis that Andrew Wakefield never declared to the Lancet, financial conflicts of interest. When confronted in front of the GMC, with 1997 faxes , and proof of receipt, showing that that required information had indeed been received by the Lancet, Richard Horton said that he had never seen itRead Full Blog

But let's get rid of alternative medicine!

We all like things to be safe, and whatever we buy, or accept from a doctor, to not kill people, right?  Read Full Blog

The ignorance of vaccinologists

Hilary Butler - Saturday, December 05, 2009

What do scientists know about the flu vaccine? Not much really, in spite of it being used for years. This particular blog is not for the faint hearted. Read Full Blog
