He expressed astonishment that such a thing could happen, and discussed the implications of crucial missing information. The problem that he seems to be unaware of, is that this is nothing new. I've been involved in vaccine research for 25 years and right from the start of my work, "right of reply" articles, promised in the "next" journal, would be "missing" from Philson Medical Library archives.
