Paul Offit's Science Friction
The subject of a previous blog on Paul Offit, was his porkies in his new book "Deadly choices" Dr Offit has authored another document, where, amongst various dictatorial objectives, he wants to force yearly "exemption reviews" by a "state-approved counselor" (inquisitor/brainwasher), to brow-beat parents who chose not to vaccinate - who will no doubt then be billed by the state. Because such birds of a feather flock together, it wasn't surprising to see that Nikki Turner made a similar recommendation to the Parliamentary Select Committee. As you see from Offit's darling dial staring at you from this press release, this new document is HIS work. There are other signatories, but you can forget them. This is classic Offitism, written in the same tone and vein as all his books, and true to form contains similar fiction. Open up at page two and read: Read Full Blog
Ministry of Health seriously misled the Immunisation Select Committee
This is the first in a series of blogs on this topic. This one is a long blog but you need to read it very carefully. You need to understand exactly how the information provided by the MOH to Dr Hutchison is so misleading and the implications of that for the whole debate. Read Full Blog
Professor Peter Collignon disturbed at lack of influenza data
This morning, on Nine to Noon, Kathryn Ryan listened while Professor Peter Collignon carefully detailed his concerns about the lack of data on flu vaccine side effects; the short comings of the current reporting systems world wide; the inadequate reasoning behind the use of the H1N1 vaccine. Everything Professor Collignon stated this morning, underlines everything I said to the Health Select Committee on vaccination rates, on April 15th, 2010. So let's see how my suggestions to expand the use of the National Immunisation Register to include other health data might pan out in the current situation of serious Fluvax reactions in Australasian children. Dear Paul, On rethinking your email to me, and given that you are our electorate member of parliament, I feel I need to address a few issues to you more thoroughly. You say: Read Full Blog
Vaccine Awareness: do you need to be bribed?
Regarding your article “cash lure to be vaccinated”.
Either Paul Hutchison has been misinformed, or has misinformed you.
The payment Australian parents receive isn’t a “cash lure”. The key words are “without good reason”.
Any Australian parent who makes an active choice NOT to vaccinate and has a filed objection, receives any of the “incentives” or “payments” related to immunization, that those who chose to vaccinate also receive. To suggest that if you don’t vaccinate, you don’t get the incentives, totally undermines the concept of a right to chose, and democratic right to say no without punitive measures taken against you. Australia has recognized this, but the question is, would Paul Hutchison?
Sincerely,
Hilary Butler. Read Full Blog
